Happy Halloween! Today Edgewood was led by a Unicorn!
Because Edgewood met its fundraising goal for the Fun Run, the students got the opportunity to select Principal Larry’s Halloween Costume. The students chose…..a unicorn! We’ll try to snap a photo of the elusive unicorn and post it to our Website for families to see.
Dig into the Edgewood garden Friday, Nov. 4 with your friends and neighbors!
The Edgewood garden is in need of some TLC! Please mark your calendars for a garden work party on Friday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. (You are welcome to come at pick-up time with your students or show up a bit early to see how it is going!)
The Tuesday garden days are only available in the morning now-from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Stop by the help do a little weeding and mulching. It’s a great way to start your day!

Pictures coming soon! Picture Retake Day November 16 
School pictures taken by Northwest Exposure should be coming home this week. If you are not satisfied with your child’s photo or if you missed picture day, a picture retake day is scheduled for Wednesday, November 16. Only parents who ordered pictures will be receiving their student / class photos. 5th graders go to Outdoor School next week
Our 5th graders are headed to Outdoor School next week! We wish them a great adventure as they spend 3 nights and 4 days at Camp Westwind delving into learning the science of beaches, old growth and estuaries.  They will have a great time!
Harvest Lunch is on November 17
Mark your calendars for November 17. We will have our annual harvest lunch. This is an opportunity for parents to join their kids at this special lunch. More details will come soon regarding cost and menus, but we wanted to give you the lunch times so you can start planning! As always, no Edgewood family will be turned away. Scholarships are available to help cover the cost if needed.

It’s fun and easy to volunteer for Harvest lunch and you can work around your child’s schedule so you can still join them for lunch. We need help with decorating, serving and clean up. Women’s Basketball Sundays at Matthew Knight Arena
Kids age 12 and under can watch the next four Sunday women’s basketball games for free! The games are: Oregon vs. Lamar Nov. 13 at 2 p.m.; Oregon vs. UTSA Nov. 20 at 2 p.m.; Oregon vs. San Jose State Nov. 25 at 5 p.m.; and Oregon vs. Vanguard Dec. 4 at 2 p.m.
Thank you to everyone who donated to fill weekend snack packs for students. The donation of granola bars, oatmeal and milk is greatly appreciated!
