Reading Olympics success!
The Reading Olympics was a huge success. We heard so many stories of students being motivated to read because they were keeping track and trying to reach their goals! You also helped to exceed our fundraising goal-the Reading Olympics raised more than $13,000! The minutes are still being tallied and the certificates will be handed out by the end of the week.
Edgewood’s OBOB team takes home 2nd place!
Congratulations to Edgewood’s OBOB team: Alaya, Elliott, Nora, Rowan and Sydney. They battled this weekend against the top 57 teams in our region, and won 2nd place! Along with St. Paul and Centennial, they will be representing our region at the State OBOB competition in Salem. We are so proud of all of Edgewood’s amazing readers!

Seeking a Fun Night coordinator-in-training!
We are seeking someone or several people to learn the ropes of coordinating this year’s Fun Night event so that we can have a smooth coordinator transition next year. Please step up if you could help coordinator Gayle Sawyer this year-with the idea that you’d be the go-to person or committee next year. Thank you!

Use your skills or business to help the Silent Auction!
Donations being accepted now for Fun Night Silent Auction! We would love to have a weekend at a vacation home (grandparents?), an hour or two of your special talents, a gift certificate to your business, your home-made art or craft, or your very gently used auctionable items. Local businesses are generously stepping up as well. Get ready for a great silent auction!
Contact Robin Detmer at or text 541-654-7206 with donations. Thank you!

Continue to clip those Box Tops!
Coordinators Brian and Bobbie Nessler are extending our Box Top Challenge until the end of the school year so please keep your eyes out for the Box Tops on products and clip them for Edgewood. Thank you for your school support!
Dress for the Weather!
We try to have kids have a chance to run around at recess time in the fresh air even when there is a light rain. Often the rain has stopped, but the grass is wet and there are many opportunities to get wet. Please have your kids dress for the weather. It is safe to assume that recess is outside. It is helpful for the office to pack an extra set of clothes in backpacks in case anyone slips in the mud or gets wet from a puddle. We appreciate our recess supervisors for getting those kids out there in the fresh air!
Office Needs jackets!
The office could use jackets for kids that are cold at recess and of course we will always take donations of stretchy pants (thank you to those that have generously brought some in!)- all sizes K-5. Thank you!
