Join us at Papa’s Pizza tonight
Our next dine-and-donate event is tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 17th at Papa’s Pizza, 1700 West 11th Ave. Bring in the flyer (your student brought home last week) and Papa’s will donate 50 percent of your food purchase to Edgewood. Thank you for supporting your school!
Parents, be a voice for your students and for our schools!
Stand for Children is offering an opportunity for parents to come to Salem, meet your state legislators and share your thoughts on school funding and raising our high school graduation rate. Training is provided.
It is Monday, Feb 20th (it’s a no-school day, you can bring students), from 9a.m. to 3p.m. at the State Capitol. For more information, contact Joy Marshall, Stand for Children, jmarshall@stand.org or 541-912-2921.

Our Silent Auction is a huge fundraiser for Edgewood and a lot of fun for families and students on Fun Night. Please email rdetmer@gmail.com if you would like to help!
Oregon Battle of the Books nears
The next OBOB meeting is Wednesday, Feb. 1 from 1:45-2:45p.m. in the Edgewood Library. Students will battle all books!
On Wednesday mornings, get more OBOB battle practice! Join us in the Edgewood library for mock OBOB battles from 8:10-8:25am every Wednesday until Battle Week, which is Feb. 13 to 17. Drop in on your way to class.
After School Homework Club Coordinator Needed!
There is interest among the staff in starting an after-school homework club. If you are interested in taking the role of parent-in-charge (with direction from teacher Sally Krueger) of this project, please contact Tanya (bunson_t@4j.lane.edu) or Sally Krueger (krueger@4j.lane.edu). This is a great opportunity to help students complete their work and feel confident in their progress.

New Website address
Please note that the Edgewood PTA has a new Website address-easier to remember and less costly than the digital PTO site. It is http://edgewoodpta.com.
Thank you so very much to Tracie Harness for offering to help with the lost-and-found items at school. Tracie will work with Tanya to put the items out occasionally in order to help families reunite with their clothing! Tracie is also our popcorn coordinator. Thank you so much Tracie!

Thank you so much to Clayton Tullos for helping to secure the edgewoodpta.comWebsite! It is a much easier URL to remember!

Thank you so much to Brian Alijan for moving our materials from our old Website to our new one! We appreciate all of the work that went into this move-and the new site looks great!
We’ll see you in the breezeways,
