Fun Night is coming up on Friday, April 21st!
Fun Night is Edgewood’s biggest celebration of the year! There will be a carnival, music, freecycle, book cycle, food trucks, raffles and much much more! Look for information coming home with your students this Friday!

Sign up for Edgewood Fun Night roles! There are many ways to help!
Everyone is welcome to help out at our signature community event, Fun Night. It is April 21st this year. It takes many volunteers to pull off this amazing night. Sign up for Edgewood Fun Night 2017 at http://signup.com/go/mnhCcK
In preparation for our next Freecycle event at Edgewood Fun Night, please bring your gently used clothing, shoes, and coats to the bin in front of the Main office. We’ll be accepting (and washing) donations to be shared at Fun Night, so we’re getting a jump on the work now.
Everyone is encouraged to shop and swap for FREE!
We are looking for folks to help wash clothes and facilitate the Freecycle event.  Please contact Julia McMorran julia.mcmorran@gmail.com for more information or to volunteer.
In preparation for the Bookcycle event at Fun Night, we are collecting gently used children’s books. Please bring any donations you might have to the office!
Seeking a Fun Night coordinator-in-training!
We are seeking someone or several people to learn the ropes of coordinating this year’s Fun Night event so that we can have a smooth coordinator transition next year. Please step up if you could help coordinator Gayle Sawyer this year-with the idea that you’d be the go-to person or committee next year. Thank you!
Use your skills or business to help the Silent Auction!
Donations being accepted now for Fun Night Silent Auction! We would love to have a weekend at a vacation home (grandparents?), an hour or two of your special talents, a gift certificate to your business, your home-made art or craft, or your very gently used auctionable items. Local businesses are generously stepping up as well. Get ready for a great silent auction!
Contact Robin Detmer at edgewoodfunnight@gmail.com or text 541-654-7206 with donations. Thank you!
Good luck Edgewood OBOB!
Edgewood’s OBOB team will be competing this weekend in the State OBOB Championship against Oregon’s top 24 teams in Salem. Edgewood’s team represents all of the amazing readers at our school. Good luck to Alaya, Elliott, Nora, Rowan, and Sydney. Congratulations on your hard work, teamwork, and good sportsmanship!
PTA meets Tuesday, April 18th
The Edgewood PTA meets Tuesday, April 18th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Edgewood Library. Everyone is welcome and childcare is free in the cafeteria.
Continue to clip those Box Tops!
Coordinators Brian and Bobbie Nessler are extending our Box Top Challenge until the end of the school year so please keep your eyes out for the Box Tops on products and clip them for Edgewood. Thank you for your school support!
Dress for the Weather!
We try to have kids have a chance to run around at recess time in the fresh air even when there is a light rain. Often the rain has stopped, but the grass is wet and there are many opportunities to get wet. Please have your kids dress for the weather. It is safe to assume that recess is outside. It is helpful for the office to pack an extra set of clothes in backpacks in case anyone slips in the mud or gets wet from a puddle. We appreciate our recess supervisors for getting those kids out there in the fresh air!
Office Needs jackets and tissues! The office could use jackets for kids that are cold at recess and of course we will always take donations of stretchy pants (thank you to those that have generously brought some in!)- all sizes K-5. Thank you! We would love to have some donated tissue boxes as well!
